Alephtavian style

This loss of faith, this scarred-over discourse, this extended walk of unsteady gait, is neither scholarship nor fiction but something in-between, a literature without [English] letters or a literature of [an Other] letterature, a romance of letters that is neither epistolary nor roman but Hebrew [in English]. My goal has been firstly to think in Hebrew as well as I can, which is not very well at all, to think at all, to think a style of reading and writing encoded in Hebrew, which means that I am really thinking much of the time in English; and then secondly to write the result [as if I were writing] in Hebrew [but since I really can't, I am actually writing written] English, both describing and demonstrating a method incarnate in the inefficiency and ambiguity of the Hebrew alphabet, that scarred alphabet, alephtav, lacking vowels.
